HMAAC Staff

  Mai Doua Xiong, Executive Director
She achieved her Master’s of Science degree in Community Counseling from Winona State University in Winona, Minnesota.  Along with her professional experience, she also possesses a broad range of skills and experience as an In Home Counselor and a volunteer for community work.  Her past involvement with other organizations include the American Counselor Association, In Home Counselor with Stein Counseling and Consulting Services, Refugee Resettlement Case Manager with the Catholic Charities of the La Crosse Diocese, and the Hmong Mental Health Consortium Group, in addition to her previous volunteer position as a secretary for the Hmong Faith Alliance Church.
 

Trace Yang, Elderly Services Program Coordinator

She is very knowledgeable on Hmong culture and customs. She reads, writes, and speaks fluently in Hmong and English. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Management from the University of Phoenix and plans to pursue her Master’s of School Counseling. Her passion and dedication to her community includes her works with the Hmong community in Fresno, California broadcasting radio channel KBIF 900 AM as the News and Co-program Director for five years.  She recently received her certificate completion of 40 hours medical interpreter training through the Interpreter’s Network of Colorado.  Ms. Yang cultivates the abilities and potential to implement the activities and services of the Elderly Services Program with a strong focus on the Hmong community.


 

Pa Lee Vang, Elderly Services Program Coordinator

She plays a critical role in the organization providing a close bond between our organization and our clients.  She speaks Hmong, Lao and English. Our agency and clients view Ms. Lee as a trusted advocate among the elderly in addition to her position as an Elderly Services Program coordinator.  She has developed a strong relationship and is well acquainted with the community.


 

Katzou Ly, Webmaster/IT

Katzou graduated at the University of Colorado Boulder.  He enjoys spending time with his family.  His hobbies include writing music and playing games. He is currently employed at IBM.
